Trade Mark thoughts Gifts and other stuff you will regret buying this year but what classifications?

You will all be wondering around our UK malls ( also known as a Shopping centre) these next few days as you buy those useless gifts for your loved ones but what classifications would your trade mark fall within if you did sell Gifts? Well its a tricky one as most shops like for example MenKind dont actually make any of the things they sell. They buy the stock at ridiculously cheap prices and then sell them to you and me at a ridiculous price.

The perfect class is class 35 which is a MUST for all businesses in retail, namely “The bringing together, for the benefit of others, of a variety of goods, enabling customers to conveniently view and purchase those goods from a general merchandise Internet web site; the bringing together, for the benefit of others, of a variety of goods enabling customers to conveniently view and purchase those goods from an Internet web site specialising in gifts; the bringing together, for the benefit of others, of a variety of offers to provide services, enabling customers to conveniently view and purchase those services from an Internet web site specialising in gifts; the bringing together, for the benefit of others, of a variety of goods and offers to provide services, enabling customers to conveniently view and purchase those goods or services in a general merchandise and gift store; the bringing together, for the benefit of others, of a variety of goods and offers to provide services, through a television shopping channel, enabling customers to conveniently view and purchase those goods or services by means of telecommunications; the bringing together, for the benefit of others, of a variety of goods and offers to provide services, enabling customers to conveniently view and purchase those goods or services from a catalogue featuring general merchandise and gifts, by mail order or by means of telecommunications; information and advice relating to any of the aforesaid services”.

This class would be sufficient for any retail business selling gifts!
